How to Understand Pages vs. Posts: What's the Difference?
What You’ll Learn
You’ll learn the key differences between pages and posts in Morweb and how to choose the right one for your content.
Why It Matters
Pages and posts look similar on your website, but they work very differently behind the scenes. Knowing which to use helps keep your site organized and makes it easier for visitors to find what they need.
Step-by-Step Instructions
What Are Pages?
- Pages are found in the Pages section of the Morweb backend.
- You can add any type of content using the Live Editor—text, images, forms, videos, and more.
- Pages can even show dynamic content, like blog posts or event listings, using widgets.

What Are Posts?
- Posts are created in the Blogs section of the backend (sometimes labeled as “News” or “Updates”).
- You can only add content using the built-in blog post editor. This means fewer layout options than pages.
- All posts use the same layout template—this keeps things consistent but also means less flexibility.
- Posts automatically appear in post list widgets across your site, such as on the blog landing page or homepage feed.

Troubleshooting Tips
- Not sure where to start your content?
If it’s a unique page like “About Us” or “Programs,” use a page. If it’s part of a recurring update like a blog or newsletter, use a post.
- Post not showing up on your site?
Check that it’s published and that a post list widget is on the page where it should appear.
- Need more layout control for a post?
Consider creating a custom page instead and linking to it from your blog if needed.
