Sometimes you want certain images or files to be visible only to specific users—like members, staff, or board members. Setting permissions helps keep your content private and organized.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Go to the Media Section

  1. From the backend, navigate to Site > Media.

2. Open Gallery Settings

  1. Find the gallery you want to manage.
  2. Click the gear icon (settings) on the gallery thumbnail.

3. Set Viewing Permissions

  1. In the settings window, find the ‘Privacy Setting’ dropdown menu.
  2. Select the user group you want to grant access to (e.g., Members, Admins).
  3. Click Save to apply your changes.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Can’t find the Privacy Setting?

    Make sure the gallery is set up correctly. If the option is missing, it may be a file folder instead of a gallery.

  • Users say they can’t view the gallery?

    Double-check that they are logged in and assigned to the correct user group.

  • Need to allow multiple groups?

    Currently, only one group can be selected per gallery. For broader access, consider duplicating the gallery or adjusting group permissions.
